We will be holding our annual winter Chinese Auction at the Excelsior Grange Hall on Harris Hill Rd. in Poland on December 11th. Tickets sales will go from 12:00 to 2:00, and the drawings will start at 2:15.

Several hundred items are up for bids; come see what we have and join in the fun!

As we continue striving to meet the needs of the students and staff, as well as meeting the requirements for the state, we make adjustments in various administrative aspects of the school. The schedule is one of these aspects.

We will be going back to a four day school week (Monday through Thursday), but lengthening the school day by one hour. The day will now start at 8:00 AM as usual and run until 3:00 PM.

A series of safety courses will be offered at the school throughout the winter and spring of 2011, and are open to the public for a nominal fee. Currently scheduled are: Boating Safety on March 5th, Firearms Hunting Safety on March 30th and April 2nd (a 2-session training), and a Trapping Safety course on April 20th and April 30th (a 2-session training). For registration or more information please call Ben Nugent at 592-4108.

 Poland Spring Academy collects used printer ink cartridges. PSA recycles these cartridges through Staples and receives gift certificates for supplies in return. We have used this to help pay for more printer ink, paper, and other office supplies. Thank you ahead of time for sending your used printer cartridges our way!

Poland Spring Academy collects General Mills box tops for education. PSA turns in box tops for money that can be used for the Global Education program and school activities. Learn more about this program at http://www.boxtops4education.com/

Poland Spring Academy collects Campbell’s UPC Labels for the “Campbell’s Labels for Education” program. More information and a list of eligible products can be found at http://labelsforeducation.com. In the past years we have gotten noise-cancelling headphones, books, and office supplies.
